The Wedding Worth Waiting For

I haven't planned a wedding in about six years. I've been busy planning corporate events, but my heart will always be in weddings. This particular wedding was seven years ago. However, for various reasons, the photos have not been released until now. This was arguably the most meaningful wedding that I planned in my 12-year wedding career - certainly one of the most beautiful.

Situated at a ranch nestled in majestic green valleys and creeks among the mountains of Greer, Arizona, their closest friends joined them for an entire weekend of incredible events that celebrated this couple's truly extraordinary love.

I am so honored to have contributed to this weekend, where, I can tell you I made some of the best 'event' memories of my life because we had such an unbelievably talented group of artists doing what they do best... from the caterer to the stylist, to the rentals, to the florist, to the linens, etc. - everything was put together so perfectly, and then of course, we had the very best photographers capturing it all in a way only they could. We had a massive crew on-hand for the multiple days of events, and we all worked so beautifully together - each person's work complimented the others', and we had all the laughs together, too. Please see the entire listing and links of contributors at the end of this post.

French Elegance
This bride longed for decidedly over-the-top French elegance on her wedding day. I gladly went to town and brought blush satin, feathers and pearls together with striking and sexy black lace. We popped a clear tent right in the middle of a horse pasture, and I used mirrored tables and pedestals to reflect and not detract from the natural beauty. The contrast of seeing the horses graze in the meadow in front of this formal affair was absolutely dreamy.

The bride's custom-made mermaid gown, which was hand-beaded on the French lace, was one of three gowns she would wear over the weekend.

Sometimes wedding planners and makeup artists have to figure out the bow ties.

This little French number was just for fun at the cocktail hour.

On to the formal dinner reception at the tent in the horse pasture...

The lighting becomes magical as the sun sets.

The über talented Chef Doug and his team created world-class fare, including a live demonstration of bananas Foster, which was to die for.

The all-white Sunday Brunch in the tent followed a creekside worship service, and was the perfect sweet ending to an absolutely glorious weekend of love, beauty and laughter.

Sometimes the wedding planner and makeup artist also have to hold onto the photographer so she can get an awesome shot. All part of the job.
